Save alot jstock job8/18/2023 I'm sure it's different depending on how big your store is and where you're located but for us the store is pretty dead between 12am-6am (most of the overnight shift).Īnd as much as people complain about the attendance policy, compared to other places I think Walmart is actually pretty lenient. Simple tasks like stocking keep my mind on one thing, and if you do your job well and stay on task people don't really bother you as much, and obviously if you can get on O/N you are less likely to be approached by customers depending on what your store is like. But for the most part on nights when I have felt particularly shitty, I would just keep to myself and focus on the freight, which for me is a good thing. There are times when it's stressful, just like any other job. Anyways I started on O/N stocking over 6 years ago, and for me, it was perfect. And I have a really hard time talking to people, maybe a little social anxiety, idk. I'm not bipolar, but I have been diagnosed bpd, anxiety, and depression. I'm also afraid of using the weird little hand held doo hickey thing.Ĭan any experienced Stockers help quell my retarded anxiety? Also, are there any other positions besides Stocker that fit what I am looking for? I'm afraid of being too slow, fucking up by putting things in the wrong location, looking like a fool, and generally being a fuck up. Unless I'm missing another position like Cart Pusher, Stocker is the only position where I'll be left alone to my own thing. That is why Cart Pushing seemed to fucking perfect. I just want a position where I can keep customer interaction to a bear minimum and just work by myself. Well, I don't think I'd like Cashier at all, so that leaves something like Stocker. The lady was nice and said I could reapply for more positions and call back when ready. _.), they aren't hiring any Cart Pushers. Well, come to find out, after overcoming my fear of calling up and asking about my app (well atleast now it's easy to call up. I applied for something I knew I would be able to do: cart pushing. Now, I am ready to rejoin the work force, because I need a vehicle and I want to help pay bills for my family. I am being treated for both, and last time I had a job it was fast food and I was unmedicated and left after 3 months due to the crazy stress it caused (rush hour ain't fun with anxiety).
